What it actually is

Good to know

This is designed for small and narrow-based vessels. It is not a universal trivet — very large pots, heavy pressure cookers, or flat non-stick tawas will overhang the arms and sit unstably, so keep it for the little stuff. It also raises the vessel about 3 cm higher than usual, which means very tall pots may sit close to an overhead chimney. It rests on top of the grate rather than clamping, so slide it gently rather than dragging pots across it.
